Nick Serido, owner of Windsong Tree Trimming LLC, is an arborist, musician, and writer based out of Southwest Portland, OR. Born and raised in New Jersey, Nick was always enamored with the trees of the PNW, dreaming of eventually seeing them with his own eyes.

Nick left New Jersey at 24, spending a year in Alaska before establishing himself in Portland, where he went on to work as a wildland firefighter.

During this time, Nick developed a strong desire to work with trees. He has been honing his skills and knowledge ever since, and has come to find a deep fulfillment in the practice of niwaki— the Japanese discipline which focuses on highlighting the natural growth habits of trees and shrubs.
